I have been anticipating my wedding day my whole life, so as you can guess I was definitely full nerves that morning. Poor Michael had to put up with me and my stressed out self for months before, so when the day finally arrived we were happy campers.
The last week was one of those weird weeks that felt way too long, but we still were scrambling on the wedding day to get everything done. Darn school for starting the same week of our wedding-- probably should have planned that one out a little better. On top of that, writing a paper the night before was quite the task, I was so distracted I probably just sent in a bunch of jibberish. My poor teacher, I can picture her now trying to read it...
But-- at last the wedding day had arrived! My most favorite winter wedding. Praying weeks in advance that it would snow on my wedding day, I felt like a little girl waking up on Christmas morning to a beast of a snow storm, but also the most beautiful snow storm of my life. The only concern now was getting where we needed to on time, and hoping all the guests could as well. I hardly slept, and we got an hour head start to the beautiful Salt Lake Temple. We actually drove there without much delay from the storm, and arrived extra early. Despite that wonderful storm, I must have just been full of luck because we had quite the turn out to both the wedding and the reception. My nerves calmed after Michael and I were finally wed, and I was able to enjoy the rest of the day as the happiest Mrs. Kira Davis.
Now the beautiful snow came at a very awful price, it was FREEZING!!
I felt so bad for all those who came to support us, but it meant so much. Luckily we were able to snap pictures quick and get our guests on their way warm up. Michael was a good sport and we were able to take some beautiful pictures around the temple. Stephanie (my gorgeous sister, and top notch photographer) was also incredibly great on our wedding day. I credit all these photo's to her-- bonus to have a sister who is not only beautiful and one of my best friends, but also able to photograph my wedding for me. It was icing on the cake.
I loved seeing all of our friends and family, and didn't want the day to end. The luncheon was delicious, thank you Tucanos and Michael's adorable parents, Paula and Craig. -- and the reception was beautiful. I was so scared for it all coming together in time, and my fantastic team of sisters and sisters in law saved the day. Everything came together perfect. I had a delicious crepe bar, perfect playlist, and a handsome HUSBAND.
Basically my wedding day went off with out a hitch, and I still don't know how this is possible. Have you met me? I am a thrilled none the less, and am so happy to be married to that Michael Perry Davis. We are two fish out of a large sea that found each other.
